FAQ

Is Assignly official?
Assignly is an independent, third-party companion application. It is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by COMSATS University.
Is my login secure?
Yes. Assignly uses your official credentials strictly to authenticate directly with the university portal. Your credentials are encrypted using AES-256 and stored locally on your device. They are never sent to our servers.
How does offline mode work?
Assignly synchronizes your academic data (like timetables, courses, and fee records) into a local encrypted SQLite database. You can instantly access this cached data anytime, even if the university servers are down.
Does Assignly store passwords?
Passwords are encrypted and stored locally on your own machine. We do not maintain any cloud databases or external telemetry that tracks your login information.
How do updates work?
Updates are published to our GitHub repository. The Desktop and Android applications can check for the latest releases dynamically, and you can download the newest executable or APK directly from the website.
Where can I report bugs?
You can report bugs, request features, or view known issues by opening an Issue on our respective GitHub repositories for Desktop or Android.
Is Android available?
Yes! The Assignly Android companion app allows you to track assignments, download course materials, and receive notifications on the go. You can download the APK directly from this website.
Is Assignly open source?
Yes. Both Assignly Desktop and Assignly Android are fully open source projects available on GitHub. Users can inspect the codebase, contribute improvements, report issues, or build the applications themselves.
